Flag Of Atlantis (My Interpretation)

Here is my interpretation of a flag of Atlantis, that is, Azores west of Sao Miquel. In this scenario, some Greeks fleeing Constantinople fled to Portugal. When the Azores islands were discovered, some Greeks settled on the Western Azorean islands. Eventually, the islands became a fiefdom of Portugal and were co-incidentally called the Atlantean islands, after the islands of mythology. During the Napoleonic wars and Brazil's war of independence, Atlantis chose to secede and have a leader of the Greek exiles become King. The Congress of Vienna accept Atlantis' secession in 1815. The Atlanteans built a myth where the mythical Atlantean civilization are just as ethnically and culturally Greek as in the mainland and the mythical wars were Civil Wars. However, the Atlanteans decide that they will help their Greek brothers despite the marked differences between Greek and the modern Atlantean language, a result of having to borrow Portuguese loanwords. During the Second World War, Atlantis became the seat of the Greek royal family in exile; the Nazis of course, went ballistic. In this timeline, this also forces Portugal to declare war on Germany, and to their relief, Spain actually turned against the Axis after hearing reports that Spanish and Portuguese people are being murdered in Timor-Leste, Portugal, and the Philippines. 

Atlantis today has a population larger than Luxembourg. It is the westernmost Orthodox country, although a Uniate Catholic and Latin Catholic Church also existed, a product of a failed conversion efforts by Portugal.
